Corrections Policy
Our transparent framework for addressing, acknowledging, and correcting errors.
1. Our Commitment to Correctness
Sports & Opinion strives for total accuracy in every article, match report, statistic, and headline. When errors occur — whether factual, typographical, or contextual — we take immediate responsibility to correct them promptly and transparently.
2. Correction Procedure
When an error of substance is brought to our attention and verified by our editorial desk:
- The article is updated promptly to reflect the accurate information.
- A clear editor’s note is appended to the bottom of the article stating: “Correction [Date]: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated [detail]. This has been updated to reflect [accurate detail].”
- We do not stealthily delete or modify substantive errors without an accompanying note of clarification.
3. Minor Typographical Corrections
Minor spelling, typographical, or grammatical errors that do not alter the factual meaning of a report are corrected directly without requiring a formal editor’s note.
4. Submitting a Correction Request
If you spot an error, inaccuracy, or misleading statement in any published Sports & Opinion article, please notify our editorial desk immediately:
